The Career Development Center (CDC) has been transformed into the Compass Center for Career & Calling. The mission of the Compass Center is to equip students to navigate their futures and to embark on Christ-centered work for the common good. In addition to the outstanding career services formerly provided by the CDC, this new center provides enhanced internship opportunities and support, expanded connections to the alumni network, and increased integration with academic and co-curricular programs.
Strategically located in Ramaker Center across from Campus Ministry, the Compass Center reflects the conviction that faith and work go together—that finding one’s calling is a centerpiece of a meaningful life. Northwestern Network staff are also located in the center and are ready to link students with alumni for internships, mentoring and jobs.

Northwestern College (NWC) does not endorse or recommend employers, and a posting does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation. NWC explicitly makes no representations or guarantees about job listings or the accuracy of the information provided by the employer. NWC is not responsible for safety, wages, working conditions, or any other aspect of off-campus employment without limitation. It is the responsibility of students to perform due diligence in researching employers when applying for or accepting private, off-campus employment and to thoroughly research the facts and reputation of each organization to which they are applying. Students should be prudent and use common sense and caution when applying for or accepting any position.

The Compass Center staff are available to help students discern their calling and navigate their career path—from their first day on campus to their last, and even after graduation. They also seek to be a resource for faculty and staff as they integrate vocational themes into classes, advising, and co-curricular programs.
